Tote 10 to Follow returns for the flat season on 16th June, this coming Tuesday! It is a competition held by the Tote, which involves you selecting 10 horses to follow for the flat season. Your horses earn points depending on how they perform when they run. If your horse wins a race it will earn you a certain amount of points varying on the grade of race.
The prizes you can win are amazing! It costs £5 to enter the paid game or you can enter the free game, but this has a far lower prize fund. The winner of the paid game will receive 70% of the total fund and this rest of the prize fund is split among the top 100 people. There is also the chance to win 10k each month, this will be awarded to the person who has gained the most points in that current month.
The competition ends on the 17th October, where the winner will find out if they have managed to win the huge pot.
There are also 25 bonus races. These selected races offer you the chance to win more points as you win 50 points for the win and 12 points for coming 2nd.
This a great way to have some fun watching the flat season this year and you never know you could get lucky and win some money if your horses get their heads in front.
To enter the competition, you have to create a Tote betting account and of course this needs to be verified so don’t leave it to the last minute to enter otherwise you’ll miss out.
After the Guineas at the weekend, with Kameko and Love both winning the two Classics. These are two horses that would make logical sense to put in your 10 selections as Love is looking set to run in the Oaks (a bonus race) whilst Kameko looks set to win multiple Group 1 races.
We have also seen Stradivarius run this season in the Coronation Cup, where he finished 3rd behind the exciting Ghaiyyath. This will set him in good stead for the Ascot Gold Cup, where he will be trying to win his 3rd straight win in the race.
Competition Points System
Group 1 win – 25 points
Group 2 – 20 points
Group 3 – 15 points
Listed – 12 points
Any other race – 10 points
Bonus race – 50 points win, 12 points 2nd
I have made my selections for the competition and will be giving out some of my best tips to my members, so if you want to know what horses I fancy to earn the most points then don’t hesitate to join my group and get access to my top ten horses!
